Resource rooms in Goa

Resource rooms are classrooms managed by special educators to support disabled students in  mainstream schools. In Goa, they’re of two kinds:

  • Life skills resource rooms enable children with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities to attend mainstream school even when they can’t  follow the same curriculum as their peers.
  • Academic skills resource rooms enable disabled children with mild to moderate support needs to participate in mainstream education by providing remedial support or modified curricula.
