Have you ever been worried about your childs development and were you told to, ‘Just wait and see’?

Well, it’s an outdated approach! We now know that even though every child is different, children grow very rapidly in the early years and stimulation at this stage helps to promote a child’s optimum growth and development. Whatever a child learns as an infant or a very young child is critical to the development of subsequent competencies. Resulting in early learning laying the groundwork for later learning.

Early Intervention or EI can be remedial or preventative in nature, either resolving current developmental issues or preventing them from occurring, it gives the brain a second chance to revisit developmental stages that were previously neglected or incomplete.

To conclude – if you are concerned about your child’s development definitely DO NOT ‘Wait and Watch’ no matter what anyone else says. Yes it in indeed scary to even contemplate that your child MAY have a difficulty. Yet if this is true then waiting and watching will not make the difficulties go away and will delay early intervention. And if is it not true, then your concern is put to rest.
