Saying ‘GOODBYE’ to Team Sethu has been an emotionally traumatic experience for me – the major reason being that I am going to miss all the dedicated people with whom I got an opportunity to work. I learnt immensely and I thank each team member for supporting me through my tenure.
It was Friday, March 13th 2015 when I officially walked into Sethu; and after 538 days, it was time to leave “one of the best places” to work with in India. This place has everything towards career development of professionals. Freedom to operate in your workspace, weekly team meetings where decisions are taken towards progress of tasks, trainings & workshops towards staff & organizational development, rigorous documentation, friendly atmosphere and when it comes to work, there is always guidance available from the multidisciplinary team. Once a person starts working in this enriching environment of intellectual individuals, it is inevitable that you continue learning a lot more. The active and enthusiastic trustees are a value added component at Sethu. Most importantly, each child and family who visits Sethu, comes with their unique story.
Honesty and Transparency are two crucial components of Sethu and every decision taken at an organizational level is towards the best interest of children & their families. Every bridge built has to face extremes of the weather changes and Sethu is no exception to this, however, the way difficulties are tackled at Sethu is exceptionally amazing. The “never give up” attitude, strategic planning, abiding by laws, and persistent efforts are a few things which are programmed in each member of the Sethu team and that is what makes this bridge stand so strong. Parents, families, teachers and the entire community who have seen and experienced the result-oriented work at Sethu are great supporters and Sethu can grow with the support from all these stakeholders.
There are some things that money can’t buy and if you wish to know why this statement is so true, please ensure to read more about Sethu at (www.sethu.in). I am truly going to miss my team at Sethu but I have wonderful memories and valuable knowledge that I gathered which I’m taking with me and will hold close to my heart! It is said that the world is a small place and that it is round. I am on my journey to complete this circumference and am looking forward to coming back to the team at Sethu.
