Thank You Creche!

Being a mom of three children, life can be extremely busy. With all those dental appointments, therapy sessions, classes, online school, cleaning up spills, wiping away tears, endless laundry… I often wish life could just pause for a second so I can catch my breath.

My three-year-old is on the Autism spectrum and doesn’t adjust to other caregivers so easily. He isn’t used to strangers. I never imagined me ever being comfortable enough with another carer or having the opportunity to leave him in somebody else’s care while I got some time to myself, ‘me time’ was something for other moms!

However, I was pleasantly surprised to hear about the creche at Sethu! Having seen that every child at Sethu is treated with the utmost understanding and respect, I never had a second thought about leaving him at the Sethu creche for a trial session. In no time, he saw for himself that the creche was a positive, friendly environment that understood him perfectly. Now he is a regular and walks in with a smile on his face, even holding his creche teacher’s hand!

A result of this interaction at the creche is that I have noticed that he has begun to play more and has even begun to participate in the creche more structured activities. At home, I have noticed a very positive change where he is more focused on trying an activity and prefers to be engaged in playing a game or building something instead of just watching TV like he used to before. I never thought this would happen!

Thank you, Sethu!
