    Course Overview

    Sethu will train the fellow to  work with children with developmental disabilities especially Global Developmental Delays, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and helps children develop the skills they need to grow into functional, independent adults. The therapist works closely with the families to develop appropriate goals meaningful to the families and their children, and implement treatment plan for the same.

    The training will enables you to become a complete clinician by helping you to put in practice what you learnt during your training and effectively integrate NDT, SI, Family Centered Care principles into your treatment plan to provide a holistic treatment service to the child.

    Activities 

    1. Undergoing basic training in: Sensory Integration and Neuro Developmental Treatment
    2. Assessment of children referred for occupational therapy services
    3. Conducting individualised therapy sessions for the children referred
    4. Developing intervention and home program for the child
    5. Documentation: Reports and treatment plan
    6. Assist in group interventions/ training
    7. Assist with logistic/administration related work for the team as and when required

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
