Neurodevelopmental Assessments
Child development is a dynamic process. Our conversations with the child and family help us acquire important information about the child’s history, current concerns and what has been tried in the past. Developmental assessments address various areas of functioning such as communication, gross and fine motor development, cognition and learning, play, socio-emotional and self-help skills. We also conduct neurological and sensory assessments. We screen for reading, writing and numeracy skills in children with behaviour and academic concerns. We also talk to teachers and other significant caregivers, if necessary, for information that will help us get a thorough understanding of the child’s strengths and difficulties.

Psycho-Educational Testing
Children with academic difficulties in reading, spelling, writing and math can benefit from more detailed evaluations, such as psycho-educational testing, reviews of their schoolwork, reports from their teachers, and even school visits if necessary, so that we can ,observe the child at work and play. Our psycho-educational tests begin with establishing a rapport with the child so that they’re at their confident, comfortable best. We conduct standardised psychological tests of abstract reasoning, problem solving skills, memory and attention span, critical thinking and other functions for a complete picture of the child’s learning challenges to be able to arrive at the most suitable ways forward.
